Well its hats off to Team Deloitte for a clean sweep, winning each of their qualifier matches and the final itself in which they emulated the earlier fixure against Edinburgh Leisure and secured victory by a single goal. Newcomers KPMG were pipped by goal difference to get a place in the final and secured third place and 60 vaulable Decathlon points. Last year's Touch Challenge winners, Searching For Challenges, bagged 40 points and the accolade as 'Good Sports Team of the Day' primarily by the vote of the Scottish Touch Association (STA) for having, 'the most attractive players' - well anything counts on the team of the day nomination.
Big big thanks to the STA and chief ref Peter (STA President no less) for the tremendous and well attended training sessions and of course for their efforts on the day. No doubt these chaps will be well in the running for the big prize, 'Provider of the Year' at the Sports Ball at the end of the season.
