Well what a great day that turned out to be! Team Deloitte surge to the top of the overall Decathlon leaderboard with a 100 point victory at The Highland Games of Edinburgh 2012.
Despite the gloomy forecasts leading up to the big day, the sun continued to shine throughout for the torrents of rain to arrive just in time for prize giving. The Blue Liners clinched second place and 80 Decathlon points taking them to second position in the Leaderboard whilst KPMG took third place, 60 Decathlon points as well as the The Streetwork UK sponsored Fun Challenge Trophy. Last year's winners, Searching For Challenges didn't quite make a podium place this year but bagged 40 valuable points in their quest to retain their Deacthlon won last year. They came in just ahead of Decathlon newcomers, Streetwork UK, who deserve great recognition not only for fielding such a large squad from such a small office but for their tremendous spirit and attitude throughout. And how about an extra special mention for David and his colleagues at Edinburgh Leisure who had a real struggle on their hands recruiting a squad for this one but, despite their great endeavours, relinquish the pole position in this year's annual challenge.
