Welcoming Waterpolo to The Corporate Decathlon! What a tremendous event!

Match Report

Very well received by all, terrific competitive spirit, great attitude from all and what sounded like a unanimous call for it's return in 2012.

As for the competition itself, again it's hats off to The Blue Liners who were truly awesome - winning each of their 5 qualifying matches and of course the final itself (conceding only 11 goals in the process and scoring 59) to win the coveted trophy and 100 Decathlon Points.

In second place (and consequently leap-frogging Deloitte on The Decathlon Leaderboard) were Edinburgh Leisure securing 80 Decathlon Points. Beating all, other than the eventual winners Edinburgh Leisure's victory over Wolfson Warriors was generally considered the most exciting of the tournament.

And it was indeed Wolfson Warriors who secured the 3rd podium place and 60 Decathlon Points over Deloitte (50 points) who did extremely well despite very nearly having to pull out of the tournament through injury.

Tremendous spirit and attitude from In IT For Fun and Searching For Challenges, the former winning the Head to Head by 8 goals to 7 and as a result taking the 40 Decathlon points rather than the 30.
