The Corporate Decathlon is an annual corporate sports tournament that comprises ten individual Challenge Sport Events.
The Corporate Decathlon is the ultimate corporate sports challenge for companies that promote fun at work and health in the workplace. We currently have decathlons running in the following cities Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and London.
The Corporate Decathlon allows companies to enter a team to compete in an annual programme of sports that combine leadership, motivation, communication and fun with health at work in a fantastic team building event. Some of our competitors include NatWest, Deloitte, Accenture, Shell EP and Amec.
Companies participating in the Corporate Decathlon sports tournament take part in ten inter-company Challenge Events over a year. Corporate Decathlon Teams are ranked after each Challenge Event and companies build their total number of Decathlon points throughout the year.
The number of company employees that compete in a team for each Challenge varies from sports event to event.
Every corporate challenge team is mixed and squads are usually large (up to 16 people). The format of play allows for rolling subs creating the best inter-office team building experience as players, managers, coaches and supporters all have a starring role.
Decathlon Challenge Events are run in association with local sports clubs who provide coaching and training for the company teams; creating valuable, sustainable, two-way links between companies promoting corporate social responsibility and amateur sports clubs who rely on membership and participation to sustain their activities.
activitymix Corporate Decathlon Sports Tournaments combine sports with social events. Inter-company socials are arranged after each Challenge Event, and a Corporate Sports Ball at the end of the annual programme of corporate sports provide plenty of inter-company networking opportunities as well as intra-company celebration! The Decathlon Trophy is awarded at the Corporate Sports Ball and every company challenge team competitor is invited to attend and let their hair down!
The variety of team challenges included in the Corporate Decathlon varies from annual corporate sports tournament to annual corporate sports tournament! Inter-company Basketball and Inter-company Darts may be in the sports programme in one year and replaced by Inter-company Hockey and Inter-company Curling in another year.
